Side note: Councilor Tim Allen has done a great job in organizing the community meeting that was held at Holly Cross School on Saturday, June 4th. It was great to get information from the Mayor, DPW, Police Dept, Fire Dept, and other vital depts participating in helping residents get back on their feet. He has also distributed water to residents directly affected and passed on information about these meetings to those cut off of all communication.
Even though Island Pond Road and Roosevelt Avenue are open, please seek alternative traffic routes so that crews can clean up the mess and restore utilities. There are also plenty of pictures on our web site and Facebook so please do not go into these neighborhoods and gawk and photograph the damage.
